Giveaway for Fountain Pen Day!

Fountain Pen Day 2020 is fast approaching! To celebrate, I’m hosting a giveaway…

The prize? An Esterbrook JR in black, fine nib, plus a LOAD of stickers, badges, bookmarks, and a very special stamp, all provided by the lovely folks at Esterbrook.

Here’s how to enter. Please read the instructions and rules carefully!

  • Subscribe to new posts from this blog, if you haven’t already. You can do that right here:

  • Fill in the poll below! It’s just three questions.
  • Don’t forget to tell me the country you’re in. This giveaway is open to entrants from the UK and EU only.
  • Include a valid email address to contact you if you win. I won’t use your data for any other purposes beyond this giveaway.

I will pick the winner at random from the list of completed poll submissions. I’ll check that all three questions have been answered, that the country selected is in the EU, and that the email address matches one on my list of subscribers. If any of those conditions isn’t met, I will select another entry at random.

I’ll make my selection at 9pm on Saturday 7th November, UK time. I’ll post the winning name here and notify the winner by email. If the winner doesn’t reply within 72 hours, I’ll pick another.

This is my first giveaway and my first attempt at building a form into WordPress — so please forgive any teething problems! Give me a shout in the comments if you have any questions or run into any error messages…

All done? Add a comment telling me you’ve entered, and why not share your ideas with the community too?

Good luck!

  1. I’d love a black sparkle with silver glitter and black ruthenium trim.

Also, sorry for not being able to narrow down my discoveries any further.

  2. This is the first giveaway I’ve entered, but then this is the only blog I post comments on. I hope it goes well and helps promote the blog.

  3. Hiya. Answered the 3 questions to enter but couldn’t find the little tick box to subscribe to new posts, so registered my email address to subscribe to the blog and receive new post and comment notifications separately after submitting answers. Hope this works for the entry?

    • Yep, that’s exactly what I wanted you to do — bit convoluted but the survey is separate from the subscription so it’s two forms I’m afraid. I’ve now added a subscription button directly in the post — hope it works!

  4. Entered, or at least I think I have – the site crashed whilst submitting, so I tried again and it crashed again! You may have two entries from me (sorry, not deliberate, system error!), or none. Thank you for the opportunity for everyone to enter. Love reading your posts – I hadn’t subscribed before as I quite like going in and finding 3 or 4 posts to read all at once!!

  7. Entered. One of the brands I’ve been wanting to try for a while, this would be a great opportunity. Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  8. I’ve not tried an Esterbrook but this feels like the ideal chance to change that! Thanks, Anthony. Good to see some manufacturers awake to the opportunities of working with community stalwarts like UKFP too.

  9. It’s good to be able to offer suggestions directly to a company. I have some Esterbrook products which I like but a good opportunity to emphasis my view that companies need to have good quality assurance as buying a pen that doesn’t write well is not acceptable. Sounds like a good collaboration between Esterbrook and UKFP.
